How To Check Your NSS Posting / Place Of Posting
Ghanaian students who graduate from accredited tertiary institutions are required under law to do a one-year national service to the country.
The National Service Secretariat (NSS) is the Government of Ghana agency mandated to formulate policies and structures for national service.
Every year several tens of thousands of graduates are posted to various sectors as service personnel.
In 2009 – 2010 service year, about 67,000 graduates were posted. In the 2010 – 2011 service year, 50,069 personnel were posted.
The service is done irrespective of type of sponsorship the individual may have received or the country in which the tertiary course was pursued in.
The personnel upon posting to an establishment is subject to the rules and regulations that govern it.
The National Service Secretariat (NSS) has released postings for the service year. This includes a total of 86,478 eligible Graduands.
Registration and validation would begin at all centers across the country from Thursday, 3rd September″.
Officially the service period will start on Monday, September 7. Service personnel deployed to the educational sector are to hold on with their registration and validation until schools officially begin.
Checking Your Place Of Posting
- Log on to your National Service Portal at portal.nss.gov.gh
- Select “Sign in as personnel“.
- Enter your email address and password used during the registration process and hit enter.
- Your place of posting should appear.
Successfully posted personnel are required to proceed to various user agencies (Place of posting) for endorsement before booking appointments online for registration and validation at designated centers in the regions.
