Non-Teaching Staff Recruitment

The Director-General of Ghana Education Service; Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa has outlined the vacancies in need and available for recruitment.

According to him the vacancies in need of staff are;

  1. Security Personnel
  2. Kitchen Staff

Speaking on UTV’s “Mpu ne Mpu” show monitored by NewsVibz, Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa stated that the Ghana Education Service (GES) will employ more security personnel to various Senior High Schools (SHSs).

The reason being that, more security personnel will be required considering the huge number of students who are yet to be enrolled in the various Senior High Schools (SHSs) under the Free SHS programme implemented by the Government of Ghana.

“For now security personnel are needed most in the non-teaching staff recruitment because of the enormous increase in the population of students enrolment in the Senior High Schools “, he stated on the show.

It can be recalled that when the GES recruitment portal was opened to accept applications from University Graduates on November 2, 2020, there was a section for the recruitment of Non-Teaching staff.

This saw many individuals put in their request to be employed as Non-Teaching staff by the Ghana Education Service.

However, after the release of Graduate appointment letters, Non-Teaching staff have not heard anything concerning their posting.

Although when Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa was speaking on UTVs “Mpu ne Mpu” show did not give a specific date or timeline for the release of appointment letters to Non-Teaching staff, he noted that his outfit will release the posting for this category.
