Analysis Of School Placement Statistics

Africa Education Watch, otherwise known as Eduwatch has made analysis on school placement statistics which compares 2019 and 2020 placements.

According to Eduwatch, in 2019 when 74% of candidates were placed automatically, there were several issues with the self-placement system.

Apart from increased traffic leading to jamming and poor accessibility, at a point, the website was even hacked.

This was when 122,706 candidates had to go through self-placement which ended up becoming a manual placement occasioned by chaotic scenes at the Independence Square.

This year, only 69% secured automatic placement, meaning from Monday, about 151,266 students will be going through self-placement i.e. 30,000 students more than that of 2019.
