2021 GES Guidelines For School Reopening

Ghana Education Service (GES) has outlined the 2021 GES Guidelines For School Reopening.

Although already existing measures have been taken to curb the striking novel COVID-19, the Director general of Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof. Kwasi Opoku- Amankwa has assured all stakeholders including parents and guardians of their preparedness towards the re-opening of schools.

The support to provide good quality education has been the hallmark of the Education Service.

The Director General in his statement, stated that, the goal in this hard times is to provide quality education with a healthy and safe environment.

Also, build a more resilient education system that will ensure continuous learning for learners pursuing their dreams during this emergency.

“Our goal, in these times, is to provide quality education within a healthy and safe environment.

At the same time, we will continue to build a more resilient education system that will ensure continuous learning for our learners even during emergencies”.

According to him, the laid guidelines are part of the measures that GES has put in place to ensure that all institutions are safe.

The guidelines will also seek to promote observance of all protocols of COVID-19 to make schools safe for learners, staff and educational workers, he added.

Not left behind, he said, the use of face masks, washing hands with soap under running water and the observation of the social distancing protocols should be practiced.

Prof. Kwasi Opoku, used the advantage to warmly welcome teachers and other workers back to school to stay safe and live a healthy life.
